Biography

Célien grew up in a small town north of Paris. From an early age he took full advantage from receiving an artistic education: he started learning the violin with his mother (a professional violinist) and modern jazz dance at the age of four. Already passionate, he very quickly acquired a taste for perseverance, rigor as well as the artistic expression that these practices instilled into him.

Only a few years later, Célien decided to broaden his horizons and include the circus arts. He discovered there a multifaceted world in which he still finds fulfillment nowadays.

First starting from getting his balance on a wire at the age of seven, he entered the Jules Verne circus school in Amiens in 2009. There, he received a training in aerial disciplines and floor acrobatics until 2012.

After three years at the National Circus School in Châtellerault where he received a rich training in various fields of competence, he entered the National Circus School of Montreal in 2015. Specializing in swinging trapeze, aerial silk and slack rope, he asserted himself in these disciplines with an original technical skill and a virtuosity that he continues seeking and developing.

Looking to stimulate his creativity, he likes taking up challenges, such as portraying extravagant characters with strong personalities, appearing just as he is or bringing his violinist skills on the circus stage.

Célien likes sharing his passion playing with his various characters and his perception of the world, people and himself.
